This
company, concessionaire of the dredging and maintenance works in
the Access Channels to the Port of Buenos Aires, entrusted TECMES
with the design, construction, installation, and getting into operation
of a tide recording network system with more than 90 measuring points.
This network
consists of remote stations installed at beacons within the Río
de La Plata, Paraná delta and Paraná River, a data
collecting Central station and 3 secondary stations.
The communication
system between the central station and the remote ones occurs by
means of cellular telephony.
The remote stations
Model TS 2621 - C, installed on top of beacons driven into the river
bed as well as in floating buoy systems (Spar buoys) located in
the bed of the Río de La Plata itself, used TS 310-P sensors
of the submersible type for level pressure measuring.
This remote
station has the peculiarity of storing the data in an internal memory,
always transmitting the values acquired since the last interrogation.
The power supply
is obtained by means of battery and solar panels.
The central
station also possesses a base for storing the data obtained by sensors
of level and of different parameters, such as water quality and
buoyage systems operation, and transmits the information to 3 secondary
central stations through telephone, thus rendering the information
available for several users.
