A
For the A-Class subproject financed by the Banco Interamericano
de Desarrollo TECMES undertook the provision, installation and getting
into operation of an environmental warning network in the city of
Río Tercero in Córdoba.
Among others,
the object of this network, the relevance of which is fundamental
to the aforesaid city, is the permanent air and water quality monitoring
as a way of warning the people against the possibility of environmental
accidents, caused by industries located on the outskirts of the
city.
The network
basically comprises a central station and 6 remote stations.
Each remote
station consists of:
3 air monitoring
stations with sensors of:
Carbon monoxide
Sulphur dioxide
Chlorine
Nitrogen oxides
Ammonium
Hydrogen chloride
An air monitoring and meteorological station with sensors of:
Carbon monoxide
Sulphur dioxide
Chlorine
Nitrogen oxides
Ammonium
Hydrogen chloride
Wind velocity
Relative humidity
Temperature
Solar radiation
Precipitation
Atmospheric pressure
2 water quality measuring stations with sensors of:
Level by pressure
Conductivity
pH
Temperature
An automatic water sampler commanded from the central station
